DIY: When you don't have snow...

...You get CREATIVE. After visiting our local Christmas tree farm, we asked the guys there if we could have some of the left over rounds they cut off the trees. (They had quite a pile going) We brought them home and "cleaned" them up the best we could, and this is what we came up with...

It's pretty self explanatory. First glue the rounds together with hot glue. (after they dry, from the cleaning)

Then add some decorations. We chose NOT to do eyes, they looked kind of creepy... hahahaa.

Then VOILA! There you have it... THE MISTER & THE MISSES.

  1. These are too stinkin cute! I love anything snowman related.. but these might be some of my favorites! Thanks for sharing with the Pink Hippo Party!

  2. cutest project EVER! So smart!

btw: thank you for your comment on my blog {you know the one}! It touched my heart and brought me to tears :)

  3. I love these little guys!
The great thing about snowmen is you can leave them out all winter long.

  4. Did you do the top piece like you did the middle by placing it on top of the bottom? I love this!!!

  5. I don't care if it has been 4 years since someone posted a comment here, THESE ARE THE BOMB!!! I have been contemplating something similar and when I saw these I just fell in love!!!!!!!!! Great job!! I agree that the eyes could get in the way of the cuteness you created so I would leave them off as well. Did you just use scrap fabric for the scarves?

  6. Thanks for the comment Shirley!! I've been "out of the loop" for awhile... more on that later.
Yes, I used scrap fabric for the scarves. My kids still ask to make these every year!
